Overview

Who We Are

The Maryland Catholic Conference is the official public policy entity for the Catholic Church, including the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Archdiocese of Washington and Diocese of Wilmington, home to more than one million Catholics.

Our state-level advocacy and education focuses primarily on:

Through action alerts, news and resources, we provide opportunities for Catholics to live out their responsibility to engage in public and political life on behalf of the dignity of the human person and for the common good.

Our Team

Leadership

A Board of Governors, comprised of Maryland’s bishops, oversees the Conference. The Conference also has an Administrative Board composed primarily of lay leaders from across Maryland, and is led by an executive director.

Each department has an advisory group with experts from the (arch)dioceses and other organizations across Maryland who have expertise in the area.
