In 2026, Marylanders will vote for governor, the entire state General Assembly and eight U.S. Representatives.

Key Election Dates (2026)
Primary
- April 23: Deadline to request mail-in ballot; you also can register at an early voting location or on Election Day
- June 11-18: Early voting
- June 16: Deadline to request a mail-in ballot (for registered voters only)
- June 19: Request a downloadable/printable mail-in ballot)
- June 23: Election Day (find your polling place)
What you need to know about mail-in voting in Maryland
General Election
- Oct. 13: Deadline to register to vote and update information
- Oct. 22-29: Early voting
- Oct. 30: Deadline to request mail-in ballot (for already registered voters); by Nov. 1 for electronic mail-in ballot
- Nov. 3: Election Day
Note: Montgomery and Prince George’s counties provide election materials in English and Spanish. Contact your local board of elections to check your region.
