The Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee is waiting to vote on a bill that would provide services to child victims of sex trafficking. Senate Bill 688 - Child Sex Trafficking Screening and Services Act of 2019 – would create a network of age-appropriate and trauma-informed services and service providers specifically trained and funded to assist and rehabilitate children who have been sex trafficked with the specialized help they need.
Child sex trafficking occurs in every single jurisdiction in the state, with some victims as young as 9 years old. These children are currently falling through the cracks and not getting the help they need.
This may be the only chance we have to help these child victims of sex trafficking. Please tell the Senate to vote YES today!
