MJ Kraska, associate director for social and economic justice at the Maryland Catholic Conference, has been appointed director of government affairs for a major association based in Maryland.

As associate director for several years, MJ has led the MCC’s state-level advocacy on a range of critical issues, including the dignity of work, care for creation, access to affordable and quality healthcare and housing, racial justice, immigration policy, public safety, and eradicating poverty.

He also earned an M.S. in health care innovation in 2022.

Prior to joining the MCC, he served as a legislative aide in the Colorado State Senate and spent six years on active duty for the United States Air Force and three additional years as a member of the Air National Guard.
