Health Care - Maryland Catholic Conference

Health Care

The Maryland Catholic Conference public policies that help Marylanders – especially those living in or near poverty – access comprehensive health care. The Department also pursues public policy that protects religious freedom with regard to the health care decisions of Catholic patients, Catholic health care professionals, and the Catholic hospitals in Maryland.

The Conference seeks to help Marylanders access comprehensive health care –particularly those who are uninsured and those who have difficulty affording comprehensive health care. The Conference advocates for policies that do not jeopardize the ability of Catholic hospitals and health-serving organizations to carry out their missions.
